When I was a kid, I knew two things: I liked books and I liked to help people. The natural result of that combination was the profession of law. It was a path that I treaded from kindergarten through law school without pause. In 2018, I graduated high school, in 2021, I graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with a major in Political Science and a minor in Mandarin Chinese, and in 2025, I graduated with honors and received my Juris Doctorate from the University of Arkansas. Now, I am proud to be the first attorney in my family.
While in law school I worked in various legal fields from externing at The Arkansas Court of Appeals to working as a student attorney in the Civil Litigation and Advocacy Clinic. I also participated in additional educational opportunities wherever I could, such as serving as a member on the Board of Advocates and pupilage at the W.B. Putman Inn of Court. Those experiences led me to the Law Offices of David L. Powell, PLLC.
In my practice, I prioritize openness and communication with my clients. If you’re looking at this page, then chances are you’re going through a rough time. When I am not in the office, I like to wander around Fort Smith. I am a big fan of our library, and I still love a good book. I also like bad movies and Indian food.
