At The Law Offices of David L. Powell, PLLC, I specialize in family law, guiding clients through some of the most personal and emotionally challenging times in their lives. I grew up in Nashville, Arkansas, home of the Scrappers, where I served as the editor of my high school yearbook. After high school, I earned a full-ride scholarship to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in English at Henderson State University. There, I also obtained teaching licensure for 7th-12th grade English and Journalism.
In 2015, I moved to Northwest Arkansas and embarked on a five-year teaching career at Pea Ridge Middle School, where I taught 7th-grade English. However, in March 2020, when schools shut down due to the pandemic, I decided to shift gears and follow my dream of becoming an attorney. I earned an academic scholarship to attend the University of Arkansas School of Law and, at last, officially became a Razorback.
During law school, I gained valuable hands-on experience clerking with the Legal Aid Offices of Oklahoma, and Mostyn Prettyman, PLLC, and interning with the Washington County Office of Public Defenders. In addition, I volunteered over 150 hours of pro bono legal services to the community. My commitment to service earned me both a Pro Bono Gold Medallion and the prestigious Robert F. Fussell Pro Bono Award, presented to the student who dedicates the most hours to pro bono work in their graduating class.
After passing the bar in 2024, I joined The Offices of David L. Powell, PLLC, eager to help clients navigate some of the most critical and personal challenges they face. I understand that people come to attorneys at some of the most vulnerable moments in their lives, and I take that responsibility seriously. I strive to ease the burden on my clients by providing a clear plan of action, tailored to meet their most pressing needs.
As a fierce advocate, I prioritize listening and understanding, ensuring that my clients feel heard and supported every step of the way. I am committed to being accessible, whether it’s meeting after hours or on weekends, to ensure my clients have the guidance and protection they need when it matters most. My goal is always to secure the best possible outcome while helping my clients feel confident and secure throughout the legal process.
When I’m not working, I take full advantage of the natural beauty of Northwest Arkansas. Whether I’m biking the local trails, kayaking, bass fishing, hiking, or hunting for arrowheads, I love spending time outdoors and connecting with nature.
